Last week when I was catching up my deluge of emails I finally opened the email titled “Fall 2013 Courses from Stanford Online”. Flicking through the seemingly unending list of science and math courses an oddball suddenly caught my attention: “Practice Based Research in the Arts”. I clicked on the link and was surprised to find the course offered through NovoEd, a company I had never heard of.
In any case, this is a course that would have been immensely helpful last year when I was scratching my head what to do for our studio class. But then the same questions linger on and continue to plague my thesis.
Judging from how much I participated (or rather did not participate) in free online courses in the past year — even courses that actually had to do with what I’m studying — I doubt I will meaningfully participate in this course. A little too late for me, I guess.
